The crème de la cream of restaurants and takeaways from across England came together last night in a celebration of the curry industry.
The Birmingham Airport NEC played host to 350 guests on Monday August 22 in a much anticipated event, where winners were a true reflection of quality and customer service, as they are chosen by members of the general public.
The awards recognised the hard work, determination, impeccable service and efforts of England’s best curry establishment and professionals that create and serve delicious dishes at an excellent standard.
The black tie event was hosted by presenter Tommy Sandhu where tributes where made to curry legend and founder of the British Curry Awards who played a huge role in shaping the industry, Enam Ali MBE, as he recently passed.
The ‘Queen’s in the Curry Kitchens’ campaign was also launched at The English Curry Awards, to help empower females to join the currently male dominated sector and will be an ongoing campaign.
The English Curry Awards organised by Oceanic Consulting, embodied the strength of the nation’s hospitality industry. It is a vast group of men and women from the restaurant and takeaway industry who specialise in creating England’s favourite dish.

Several of the awards were split into local regions to ensure that businesses from smaller areas across England were also recognised.
